A big congrats to Micah Doerr for his 3rd place Mission Possible device (kinda a high tech Rube Goldberg machine). He was assisted at the Competition by Matthew Wilcox. They were competing against High School teams from Ohio & Michigan; some who have been to Nationals more than once.
Our team got 37th!!!...
Now why on earth would I put exclamation
points after that... well, it is because we only had 3 students able to attend from our
team (that is a fifth of what other teams had) and
there was 41 participating teams. I expected last place as a team of
three, but no - not our awesome students!!!
We were competing for individual medals/ribbons only... which we did get! Besides Micah & Matthew's 3rd place, Alyssa Wagenmaker (assisted by Micah) got an 8th place ribbon for Bungee Drop.
Keep up the great work!

1st 2015 Invitational a success!
Great job at the invitational Middle Schoolers!!!
I am proud to be your coach. You showed excellent sportsmanship, the ability to work well under pressure, and learned a lot.
Keep it up!
High Schoolers... your turn to shine this Saturday!
I would also like to thank Coach Schafer (Chris) for running the Bridges event for our "team job", and Coach Parker (Mike) & Coach Ives (Thunder) for helping him out.
