Basics
Invitationals are on 3 Saturdays (January through February)
Regionals are normally mid-March
States are held late April or early May (we attend by placing 1st or 2nd as a team at Regionals)

High School Credit?
* Each family handles this differently - guideline 1/4 - 1/2 credit for each event studied.

Ages for CSI teams?
* Ages/grades are broken into these groups: (8th and 9th graders can choose HS or MS)
9th to 12th graders are are Level C  =  HS  =  High Schoolers
6th to 9th graders are are Level B  =  MS  =  Middle Schoolers
   (we have allowed 5th graders on the team IF the MS team is not full)

Parents...
  * Benefits parents like: test taking skills, time management, better ACT scores, sportsmanship, study skills, and more!!!
  * Help is needed behind the scenes (many jobs do not involve science).  Help is always welcome, but not required!!!
  * We always need Event Coaches.  Ask friends, relatives, people at church, or other trusted adults. Let the head coach know if you can coach something, yet remember parental coaching is not a requirement.

Get your stuff ready this fall:
Once Events are Assigned... Read Rules, then Start and keep a Notebook, then Meet with your Event Partner(s)
